Sleeping.

I look forward to my weekends to get sleep, sleep and more sleep. It is almost ridiculous. If I could, I would wake up each morning, eat breakfast and take a shower and go back to bed for an hour or two!! Other moms are telling me that needing sleep is normal and to really take advantage of this time. So, I am doing my best and loving it.

I was not able to sleep in on Saturday and Sunday. I went to Beth Moore's satellite conference at Eagle Church of the Nazarene at 8:30 a.m. and then to church on Sunday morning. I don't know much about Beth Moore other than knowing that other women have really reaped some amazing things from her bible studies, devotionals, etc. Since I had a long week last week (more on that later), I was pretty exhausted on Saturday and was not able to last through the conference. I got through an hour and forty-five minutes of her speaking. Unfortunately, I didn't really get much from it and I probably missed all the good stuff after I left. But, I must admit that my nap that afternoon was fabulous. The best part of the conference for me was getting to see at least five people I don't get to see all that often. I saw: 1. Susan Stuart who worked for my law firm for five summers. 2. Michelle Woodard, a fellow business major. 3. Korie Hogan, her mom and Sarah (I have forgotten Sarah's last name, sorry Sarah!), all friends of my sister's. 4. Nichole Deakins, another friend of my sister's. 5. Lisa Kinnaman, a high school friend of Byron's. I think Korie was the only one who knew I was pregnant, so it was fun to let my belly do the talking.

Now that it is after 11:30 p.m., I really should get myself to bed so I can enjoy more of that delicious sleep and not start myself off this week with a night of less than 8 hours of it.

This week is a big birthday week... Kielty, my niece, turns 4 and Deb's big 3-0 birthday is Thursday. So, stay tuned for fun pictures.

I'm sorry the conference was not so good and I'm sorry I didn't get to talk to you yesterday! We missed our movie but it sounds like you were napping anyway. :) Maybe this weekend...do we dare make Mike & Byron go again? :)
