How Does It Work?

Would someone explain to me where they put the thermometer on a car to test the outside temperature. It can't be on the bottom because the car itself puts out so much heat underneath and it can't be on top because the sun beats down on the top of the car. It has me all curious...

Good question. I think ours is in a little sensor on the window. But I could be wrong.

Well, if you really want to know... BMW puts their sensor in the bumper on the drivers side. It is supposed to be covered by a "fender liner." The fact the it is under the car makes the readings approximately 2-4 degrees higher than the actual outside temperature.

Just fun info!
