I just read this in a magazine!! Ridiculous!!

It may sound so high school, but sharing a little snarky gossip at a party or the water cooler turns out to be one of the most effective ways to cement a new friendship or work relationship, according to research from the University of Oklahoma. "This doesn't mean you have to disparage someone you know personally to form a bond," says study leader Jennifer Bosson, Ph.D. "Dishing about celebrities or other public figures is just as effective."
