HE WALKING!!!

Owen has been walking for a few days now. He only does it when we prompt him to walk-he hasn't initiated it himself just yet.

Life in Donnelly.

We are back in Donnelly, Idaho while Byron and Anthony put up new siding on my parent's cabin. We will probably be there during the week and home on the weekends for the next couple of weeks. At home the weather is beautiful - the sun is warm and shining. But in Donnelly, it is another story and to top it off May is this week! Here is proof that it is not yet spring in the woods yet.

Here is Reuben, Ryan and Deb's dog - a black dog in white snow. We are dog sitting while they get settled. Samantha and Reuben are enjoying each other's company which is nice because we are always feeling guilty about poor Sam being bored to tears all by herself.

First Birthday Blues.

Owen turns the big 1 on May 29th and I am at a complete loss as to what to buy him for his birthday (mostly because I know that he won't remember any of it AND he doesn't really need much).

I could get him any of these things,
but should I be focusing on something meaningful?

What did you get your kids, grandkids, nieces, nephews for their first birthday?

P.S. The shoes are Pip Squeakers. Jayci introduced them to me two years ago. They squeak when the baby walks and the babies seem to really enjoy them. This might be a good consideration since Owen took a couple steps tonight in between Byron and I (and, boy, was he proud of himself)!

Gone Swimmin'

Owen is officially a member at The Rec Center. I took him to the little kid pool yesterday and he LOVED it. It might just have to be a weekly outing.
